That’s according to Raheen Fatima, a 16-year-old high school junior at TSE Academy. Raheen is a standup comedian, actress, social entrepreneur, sustainable development goals youth ambassador, and a professional humanitarian interviewer.
Journey to TSE Academy: Raheen hails from Pakistan and discovered TSE Academy after an interview with Michael from the school. She was drawn to TSE Academy because it was not like traditional schools where teachers predominantly talk and students listen. Raheen always enjoyed expressing her point of view, which wasn’t appreciated in conventional school settings.
Raheen found TSE Academy to be a refreshing change. The environment was friendly, informal (students called teachers by their first names), and inclusive. The Socratic method used by TSE Academy promotes open conversations about a myriad of topics. These interactions have honed her interpersonal skills and intellectual curiosity.
TSE Academy has equipped Raheen with essential life skills, such as the ability to articulate thoughts respectfully, even in disagreements. The format has also made her realize the value of holding her opinions, understanding them, and expressing them without fear.
